The brief was to convert the existing agricultural building to offices. The project was constrained by planning requirements to re-use the existing steel frame of the original building, which defined its size, position and overall shape.

HIGHLY COMMENDED

SUSSEX HOUSE, 12 CRANE STREET, CHICHESTER PO19 1LJ

Built in 1966 to designs of Messrs. Tyler and Dixon, the brief was to refurbish the two upper floors and their associated common parts to bring the floors into line with contemporary office expectations, while the retail uses continued on the ground floor level.
