THE GATEWAY PROJECT, WEALD AND DOWNLAND LIVING MUSEUM, TOWN LANE, SINGLETON PO18 0EU

A new 850sq/m Gateway facility located to the east of the Millpond, comprising entry, retail, three orientation and interpretation galleries, café, kitchens, toilets and other ancillary accommodation as well as community spaces. In addition, three historic buildings were to be conserved and re-interpreted.

CENTRAL LIBRARY, 13 CLAREMONT, HASTINGS TN34 1HE

A Grade II listed building commenced in 1878. The brief was to make sympathetic alterations, to remove unattractive interventions and uncover and refurbish some of the features and spaces restoring elements of the character of the original Italianate Gothic Revival style building.

THE KAI YONG YEOH BUILDING, BRIGHTON COLLEGE, EASTERN ROAD, BRIGHTON BN2 0AL

Within a prominent and constrained location amongst Brighton College’s Grade II listed buildings, Hopkins Architects and McLaren Construction replaced two outdated classrooms and a swimming pool with a sympathetic five storey brick, flint and pre-cast concrete building, creating 23 classrooms, offices and ancillary facilities.

MANOR ROYAL BID PUBLIC AND COMMUNITY ENHANCEMENTS, UNIT 38, BASEPOINT BUSINESS CENTRE, METCALF WAY, CRAWLEY RH11 7XX

Manor Royal is the biggest business park of the Gatwick Diamond area. Allen Scott prepared a Prospectus Package for the Business Improvement District, which included enhancements to key gateways into the District as well as the creation of new, accessible and distinctive public open spaces.

RNLI SELSEY LIFEBOAT STATION, 154 KINGSWAY, SELSEY, CHICHESTER PO20 0DL

The new build RNLI Selsey lifeboat station returns the facility to its original location on the beach and includes boathouses for the all-weather and inshore lifeboats and their launching rigs, modern crew operational facilities, visitor and sea-safety education areas and an RNLI souvenir shop.

WINDLESHAM HOUSE SCHOOL, LONDON ROAD, WASHINGTON, PULBOROUGH RH20 4AY

A scheme for a new 25m six-lane swimming pool with changing rooms, shower facilities and spectator viewing galleries. The proposal also encompasses a four-court sports hall with a viewing gallery, featuring a green roof.

THE SOURCE BMX PARK, WHITE ROCK, HASTINGS TN34 1JA


The Source BMX Park, Hastings received a judges’ special commendation.

The White Rock Baths were originally built in 1890 as a health spa, under the promenade on Hastings Sea Front, closing in 1997. Saville Jones Consultants were commissioned to restore and refurbish the building to create an exciting world class BMX and skateboarding facility.
